We are proud of our employees!

Yesterday, May 13, 2026, we once again witnessed the immense importance of first aid skills, quick response, and access to an AED device.

A client, Mr. Ryszard, whom we have been helping for some time and know well, came to visit our department. Nothing indicated a tragedy - he was smiling, cheerful, and looked good despite his illness. Suddenly, he lost consciousness. A moment later, his heart stopped.

In this critical moment, our staff acted immediately and exemplary. It was thanks to their knowledge, composure, and teamwork that a human life was saved. One of the employees started cardiopulmonary resuscitation, taking all necessary precautions, another called the emergency medical team, and another quickly brought the AED defibrillator. The device was used according to protocol, and moments later, breathing and heart function were restored. Soon an ambulance arrived to take over further care of the injured.

This situation showed something extremely important: first aid is not theory - it is a real skill that can save lives. That is why regular training, exercises, and readiness to act are so crucial.

It also demonstrated the great power of collaboration. Everyone knew what to do. Everyone played an important role. Together, we formed a team that acted effectively and professionally at a decisive moment.

We are extremely proud of all our employees who showed extraordinary professionalism, courage, and empathy. Special recognition goes to Eugenia Polehenko, who conducted the resuscitation with full commitment and composure.

It is thanks to people like these that the idea of the Polish Red Cross finds its most beautiful confirmation in action every day. Thank you. We are proud of you.
