The Polish Red Cross is part of the largest global humanitarian movement, one of the oldest in human history - The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

3 entities of the Movement
The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement consists of three complementary entities that jointly carry out a humanitarian mission: the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), and the National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Cooperation among these three entities enables effective responses to the needs of people in the most challenging situations around the world.

Currently, there are 191 National Societies of the Red Cross and Red Crescent operating in the world.
