On November 5–6, 2025, a meeting took place at the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Regional Branch of the Polish Red Cross, attended by representatives of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) as well as the Head Office of the Polish Red Cross.
Refugee program beneficiaries from Ukraine, volunteers, and Polish Red Cross staff also participated in the event. The aim of the meeting was to discuss how the Polish Red Cross reaches those in need, how feedback is collected, and how to better tailor aid activities to the real needs of beneficiaries.
During the workshops, participants jointly analyzed the challenges related to cooperation between the Polish Red Cross and the local community and sought solutions that would further engage beneficiaries in the organization's activities.
As emphasized by Aleksandra Szafer,, one of the Polish Red Cross staff members:
“This meeting was very valuable for us because representatives of the International Red Cross were able to hear our experiences directly and see what assistance looked like from the branch's perspective. I believe that these discussions will contribute to even better tailoring of humanitarian actions in the future.”

Representatives of the International Federation of Red Cross were pleased with the course of the meeting and the feedback received. They emphasized that the discussions were very fruitful and inspiring, and the information gained would help in planning future aid activities.
The meeting demonstrated how important dialogue, cooperation, and exchange of experiences are, so that Red Cross actions worldwide are even more effective and closer to people's needs.
