1,058 households destroyed during the September flood received financial support enabling the purchase of essential items related to the reconstruction and renovation of apartments and houses. This is part of a long-term aid initiative #renewedbyRedCross.

After months of struggling with the effects of the flood that hit southwestern Poland in 2024, many families were still facing difficulties – destroyed homes, the need for prolonged drying, and lack of funds for reconstruction. In response to these needs, the Polish Red Cross provided the affected individuals with flexible financial support in the form of gift vouchers, allowing them to purchase necessary materials and equipment.

Families were qualified to receive support in cooperation with local Social Assistance Centers and local governments, which allowed reaching those in the most difficult situations.

Aid reached residents of the cities most severely affected by the flood from the Lower Silesian and Opole Voivodeships: Kłodzko, Bystrzyca Kłodzka, Głuchołazy, Nysa, and Lewin Brzeski, as well as numerous smaller towns. Humanitarian Aid Groups from the Red Cross were involved in the distribution: Poznań, Opole, Sopot, and Lublin, as well as HDK Brylant Clubs from Stronie Śląskie and HDK from Kłodzko.
