Blood donation

They save human life and property, care for safety, and additionally give a part of themselves to other people. These are firefighter blood donors. The Polish Red Cross has distinguished the most active units of State and Volunteer Fire Brigades involved in the beautiful idea of voluntary blood donation.

"Fiery Rescuer - Hot Blood" is a nationwide initiative in which professional firefighters, volunteer firefighters, and PSP and OSP units active in promoting voluntary blood donation are appreciated. They organize blood drives, activating local communities and integrating firefighter environments around the idea of providing help.

On May 16, the President of the Polish Red Cross, Jerzy Bisek, the Vice-President of PCK, Zbigniew Klawczyński, the Chair of the National Council of HDK PCK, Mariusz Malewicz, the Deputy Head of the Chief Commandant's Office of PSP, Radosław Kozicki, and the Head of the Communication and Promotion Department of the National Blood Center, Monika Rutkowska, awarded the most engaged units in promoting voluntary blood donation by presenting commemorative diplomas and prizes in the central stage of the 18th and 19th editions of the program.

2nd place - KP PSP Mońki;
3rd place - KP PSP in Koluszki.

1st place - KP PSP in Goleniów;
2nd place - KP PSP Bartoszyce;
3rd place - KP PSP in Koluszki.

- OSP in Brudzewice;
2nd place - OSP in Lipna, Przewóz municipality;

The "Fiery Rescuer - Hot Blood" Program is organized in three stages: regional, district, and central. It is an opportunity to appreciate and thank firefighters for their daily work, as well as for their contribution to promoting the idea of sharing what is most precious - life.
