Humanitarian law
We are bringing closer the topic of regulations applicable to soldiers and civilians during armed conflict. We are maintaining a specialized library that contains the largest collection of publications related to international humanitarian law (IHL) in Poland.
Humanitarian law
Humanitarian law is a set of principles and international norms that protect individuals who are not participating in armed conflict, such as civilians, the wounded, and prisoners of war, as well as rules that limit the methods and means of conducting conflicts. The Polish Red Cross has been promoting and disseminating the principles of humanitarian law for years, raising public awareness about the protection of human dignity in conflict situations.
As part of its educational activities, programs are conducted aimed at youth, students, and uniformed services, helping to understand the significance of humanitarian law in everyday life. Detailed information is also available about the International Humanitarian Law School, the "Bieżanka" competition, and other initiatives that serve to deepen this subject matter.
