Blood donation

On September 20, 2024, the Honorary Blood Donors Club of the Polish Red Cross at the Police Prevention Department in Szczecin celebrated the 50th anniversary of its activities.

The Police Club has been in existence since 1974, currently uniting 60 members – officers and employees of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Szczecin, the City Police Headquarters in Szczecin, the City Police Headquarters in Świnoujście, the Police Prevention Department in Szczecin, the County Police Headquarters in Police, and the County Police Headquarters in Białogard.

One of the key goals of the Honorary Blood Donor Clubs of the Polish Red Cross in terms of promoting voluntary blood donation is to encourage as many healthy individuals as possible to selflessly donate blood. Members of the HDK PCK Club at the OPP in Szczecin achieve this task through meetings with young people, preparing open events that integrate the blood donor community, as well as organizing open blood donation drives outside of blood service facilities, preceded by presentations for candidates for blood donors.

The activities of the members of the HDK PCK Club at the OPP in Szczecin are not limited to voluntary blood donation; they also include volunteer assistance, collection of writing materials, toys for children, and also food for those in need.

The West Pomeranian District of the Polish Red Cross in Szczecin can always count on the selfless help of Club members during humanitarian actions directed at the injured and the most needy.

We are proud and pleased that, in addition to dedicated service and courage, there is also room for empathy, and such an attitude is an important element of civic education and serves as a model for the younger generation.

We wish you another 100 years!

With Red Cross greetings

The Board, management, employees, members, and volunteers
