The Polish Red Cross provides expert support to the Fire Academy by jointly implementing Advanced Courses in Civil Protection for district mayors and city presidents.
The Civil Protection Course is tailored to the conditions of the district level of state security management, and participants familiarize themselves with thematic modules in the areas of:
the security environment,
security management,
the civil protection and civil defense system,
best practices.
The contribution of the Polish Red Cross includes issues of rescue, humanitarian aid, and other forms of support undertaken by Dr. Magdalena Stefańska from the International Cooperation Department. So far, over 330 participants have been trained.
This cooperation is an opportunity to emphasize the auxiliary role of the Polish Red Cross in relation to public administration and its place and role in the Act on civil protection and civil defense as an entity implementing educational and operational activities.
