We have just concluded the II conference dedicated to the protection of civilians during armed conflicts in light of international humanitarian law.

On April 25, the II conference titled "International Humanitarian Law in the Protection of Populations in Contemporary Armed Conflicts" was held at the campus of the State University of Applied Sciences in Koszalin.

The conference in Koszalin was aimed at representatives of government administration, students, academic staff, officers, instructors from military schools, representatives of the Border Guard, Police, Prison Service, local government units, NGO representatives, teachers, and all those interested in international humanitarian law.

The sessions were led by lecturers and experts in international humanitarian law who have been working in this field for years. On behalf of the Polish Red Cross, the conference participants were welcomed by the vice president of the PCK, Dr. Jerzy Zaborowski.

The conference was organized by: the Polish Red Cross, the State University of Applied Sciences in Koszalin, and the District Branch of the Polish Red Cross in Koszalin. The honorary patronage of the event was taken by, among others, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration, the Ministry of National Defense, the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, the Mayor of Koszalin, and the Teacher Education Center in Koszalin.
