First aid

For years, we have been continuously training and preparing society to effectively provide assistance in emergencies through first aid courses led by instructors from the Polish Red Cross.

About the program

The Polish Red Cross educational program, which has been preparing society for years to provide effective assistance in emergency situations. Thanks to professional courses conducted by experienced instructors, participants gain practical knowledge and skills necessary to save lives. The program responds to the real need to raise the level of competence in first aid among citizens, so that witnesses to accidents can act effectively until the arrival of emergency services.

Need

Statistics show that although 67% of Poles declare a knowledge of first aid principles, only 19% feel confident in their skills. The average ambulance arrival time is about 8 minutes in cities and 15 minutes in rural areas. During this time, the life of the injured often depends on the initial rescue actions taken by witnesses of the incident.

The majority of accidents occur at home, which means that we, as the closest people, are the first ones who can provide help. The "First Aid" program meets this need by teaching society confidence and effectiveness in taking rescue actions.
