First Aid Course
PCK first aid courses are practical training for individuals, companies, and childcare providers. Realistic simulations, qualified instructors, and certificates recognized in the EU. Gain knowledge that saves lives!
About the courses
First aid courses by the Polish Red Cross are professional training courses tailored to the different needs of participants: individuals, companies and child carers. They include theory and practice, providing realistic simulations and exercises using mannequins and simulations.
The courses are conducted by qualified Polish Red Cross instructors, in accordance with the international standards of the European Resuscitation Council and the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent. Each participant receives a bilingual certificate recognised throughout the European Union.

What for?
Accidents can happen anywhere – at home, at work, or on the street. The quick reaction of a witness to the event often determines the life of the victim. Research shows that only 19% of Poles are completely confident in their first aid skills. The Polish Red Cross courses respond to this need by offering practical training that builds self-confidence and teaches how to react in crisis situations.
For individuals
The first aid course of the Polish Red Cross consists of two parts: theoretical and practical.
We place particular emphasis on practical classes, which take place on
manikins as well as in scenarios using role players. With the help of instructors, participants analyze various incidents (so-called simulations, using professional makeup and props). The aim of the simulations is primarily to familiarize course participants with situations that may occur in reality. To ensure the highest quality of training, the courses of the Polish Red Cross are conducted by experienced PCK instructors. All our training sessions are interactive and engaging, using modern teaching methods and professional equipment. We ensure that each participant has the opportunity to practice the skills acquired in realistic scenarios, which significantly increases their effectiveness in real-life health and life-threatening situations.
All training sessions are conducted by qualified instructors who have the authority to issue certificates in accordance with European Union standards regarding first aid.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive bilingual certificates that are valid for 2 years. We encourage you to contact the selected Branch to receive the current offer of courses.
Elementary course
The elementary course is very popular due to its compact format
and low unit cost.
It is the shortest course offered by the Polish Red Cross. During the training, each participant performs exercises, which are a condition for completing the course with a positive result. Course participants receive bilingual, personalized certificates of completion.
Elementary Course Program:
- Assessment of the situation and securing the accident scene.
- Evaluation of the victim's condition, monitoring vital signs.
- Action with an unconscious victim.
- Basic life support.
- Action in the event of hemorrhages, serious wounds
and burns.
Main advantages:
- short format (5 teaching hours)
- personalized, bilingual certificate of course completion
- opportunity to see simulated injuries.
Course intended for groups of up to 30 people.
Base course
The course is designed for organized groups, created for those companies that cannot afford to conduct a 16-hour course, yet consider a 5-hour course insufficient for their needs. We especially recommend choosing the basic course for organizations that have previously conducted first aid training for their employees and are interested in a training where participants will repeat and reinforce their knowledge.
The basic course is conducted over one day, making it a natural choice for companies that cannot allocate more time for training. Each participant is required to practically practice the knowledge provided by the instructor at least four times. Various illnesses and injuries will be discussed during the course, allowing participants to gain comprehensive knowledge in this area.
The course program includes realistic simulations, where selected individuals will have to "rescue" the injured, further solidifying the acquired knowledge and skills. Such practical exercises are invaluable in crisis situations, where quick and effective response is crucial.
The PCK basic course is a comprehensive training that not only provides theoretical knowledge but primarily emphasizes practical skills. Participants learn to cooperate under difficult conditions, which translates into better team functioning in everyday work.
Basic course program:
- Assessment of the situation and securing the accident scene.
- Assessment of the victim's condition, monitoring vital signs.
- Action for unconscious victims.
- Basic Life Support – exercises.

as well as head and spinal injuries.
Course intended for groups of up to 20 people.
Basic course
The course is designed for both individuals who have not previously encountered first aid and for those who wish to systematize their existing knowledge (e.g. PE teachers, nurses, doctors).
The training program consists primarily of practical exercises – theoretical discussions are only used as an introduction to the exercises, which aims to make participants aware of the situations (and the reasons) in which certain actions should be performed.
Practical classes take place both on training mannequins (assessing the victim, placing in the recovery position, applying dressings, and immobilization) and on mannequins (basic life support – cardiopulmonary resuscitation).
Those who pass the course will receive a certificate recognized in the European Union. This course is certified by the Reference Center for Teaching First Aid.

For companies
For representatives of large companies and institutions, we have prepared a course offer where your employees will familiarize themselves with the principles of first aid. Each company has a different specificity of operations, which is why we can prepare an individual offer based on specific needs.
In today's world, ensuring safety in the workplace is one of the priorities of every responsible business. Sending employees to group first aid classes is not only an investment in their comfort and safety but also a sign of care for the whole company team. First aid training, conducted by qualified instructors of the Polish Red Cross, provides participants with the essential skills to react quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
First aid training is not only about skills in responding to emergencies but also about increasing confidence in crisis situations. Employees trained in first aid can save the lives of a colleague at work, a client, or a random person on the street. The knowledge and skills gained in the PCK courses cover a wide range of situations – from cardiac arrest and respiratory failure to wound dressing and managing fractures or burns.
For employers, group first aid classes also bring measurable image benefits. Companies that care about the health and safety of their team members are perceived by others as responsible and caring. Employees who know that their company invests in their safety are more loyal and motivated, which translates into higher productivity and reduced turnover.
First aid training can also be an element of team integration. Participation in classes strengthens relationships among colleagues, reinforces trust, and fosters a sense of shared responsibility. Acquiring new skills together and experiencing intense emotions during emergency simulation situations makes the team more cohesive and effective in action.
The Polish Red Cross, with years of experience and a professional approach, guarantees the highest standard of training, ensuring that employees are well prepared for any emergency situations.
Courses can take place at the branches of the Polish Red Cross or at your company’s headquarters.
