Let's help those who need it the most – together we can change someone's world for the better.
In the face of increasing social and economic challenges, more and more people in our surroundings struggle with the problem of malnutrition and lack of access to basic food products. Although we often do not see it, hunger is still a real problem - also here, locally, in our region.
The upcoming World Food Day, celebrated every year on October 16, is an important opportunity to reflect on the issue of food waste and the difficult situation of people living in poverty. It is also a perfect moment to show solidarity and genuinely help those who have to choose between buying food and other basic needs.
Like every year, the Polish Red Cross Kuyavian-Pomeranian joins the nationwide campaign Fight Against Hunger, organizing a food collection for those in greatest need.
The collection will take place from October 6–11, 2025, in selected stores in Bydgoszcz:
Eurospar, ul. Grzymały-Siedleckiego 20,
Eurospar, ul. Nakielska 86 Carrefour,
ul. Wyzwolenia 66 Carrefour,
ul. Skarżyńskiego 2,
Netto – all stores in Bydgoszcz.
What are we collecting?
Non-perishable food products with a long shelf life, including: sugar, flour, rice, groats, tea, canned goods, sweets, and other dry articles.
Baskets with the PCK logo will be placed in visible locations – just put the purchased product in and… genuinely help someone in need.
