Transboundary weekend

The German Red Cross - Regional Association Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e. V. in Schwerin and the West Pomeranian District Branch of the Polish Red Cross in Szczecin are planning joint activities.

These are not ideas from science fiction, but a return to the past, because are we ready for a lack of electricity, the internet, a home, access to running water and food, and lack of contact with our loved ones? How long can we survive without knowledge and practical skills?

Natural disasters and catastrophes are already real threats that we must be prepared for. This issue, along with the human capital that is not fully utilized, are topics for joint efforts on both sides of the border. DRK Schwerin presented humanitarian crates and educational packages for children and seniors.

Being a volunteer is not only about activities for the community, but also about learning new skills, making friendships, and being part of the largest humanitarian network in the world. The Polish Red Cross has been helping people in need, regardless of their background, beliefs, or convictions, for over 105 years.

We are creating a Humanitarian Aid Groupof the Polish Red Cross – become a member.
