"In the Ties of Blood" – a nationwide campaign by the Polish Red Cross on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising

On the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising, the Polish Red Cross is organizing a nationwide promotional and educational campaign“In the Bonds of Blood.”
The campaign“In the Bonds of Blood” will last from August 1 to October 2, 2025.. The aim of the initiative is to honor the memory of the Warsaw insurgents by donating blood in a noble manner and to promote the idea of blood donation among society.
Why is it worth participating?
The campaign “In the Bonds of Blood” has both a symbolic and practical dimension. By sharing their blood, donors pay tribute to the heroes of the Warsaw Uprising while also saving the health and lives of contemporary people in need. It is also a great opportunity to get involved in activities promoting voluntary blood donation, especially during the summer period when the demand for blood is particularly high.
How to participate in the campaign?
To become a participant in the campaign, one must:
During the period from August 1 to October 2, 2025, donate whole blood or its components at least once at any Blood Donation and Blood Treatment Center.
Receive a certificate of blood donation.
Send by October 6, 2025, a scan or photo of the certificate along with a completed and signed consent to participate in the campaign and information clause to the email address: krwiodawstwo@pck.pl.
Fill out a short survey available via the QR code in the promotional materials of the campaign.
What do participants receive?
A commemorative certificate sent by email after the campaign ends.
A chance for prizes – among the participants, 14 people will be drawn to receive gifts, and another 7 prizes will go to donors who publish a photo from the blood donation moment on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #inbondswithoutblood.
The results of the drawing will be announced by October 13, 2025, on the website and on the social media of the Polish Red Cross. The prizes will be delivered in a manner agreed upon with the participants via email.
