Information regarding the launch of the FEPŻ Program Subprogram 2023 at the PCK Branch in Kołobrzeg

The District Branch of the Polish Red Cross in Kołobrzeg begins the implementation of:
THE EUROPEAN FUNDS PROGRAM FOR FOOD ASSISTANCE 2021-2027 CO-FINANCED BY THE EUROPEAN SOCIAL FUND PLUS SUBPROGRAM 2023
The main objective of Subprogram 2023 is to counteract material deprivation by providing food assistance to those in greatest need and ensuring accompanying measures supporting their social inclusion between June 2024 and November 2024.for the residents of the Municipality of the City of Kołobrzeg and the Municipality of Kołobrzeg.
Assistance under Subprogram 2023 is directed to individuals in difficult life situations, allowing for the use of social assistance for reasons specified in Article 7 of the Social Assistance Act, whose income does not exceed 265% of the income criterion qualifying for social assistance:
2,056.40 zł. for a single person,
1,590.00 zł. for a person in a family.
Groups of the most needy people to whom food assistance will be directed:
homeless individuals,
individuals with disabilities,
citizens of third countries – non-citizens of the Union.
people of foreign descent and belonging to minorities,
other recipient groups meeting the income criteria specified above who are in difficult life situations.
Individuals interested in receiving food from Subprogram 2023 should contact social workers at the Social Affairs Center or the Municipal Center for Social Assistance in Kołobrzeg from May 28, 2024, to determine their income situation and qualify for the above assistance.Homeless individuals should report to the District Branch of the Polish Red Cross in Kołobrzeg to complete the declaration of a person applying for food assistance.
Definition of a food package for 1 final recipient: at least several (i.e., at least three) food items from different product groups issued at once, included in the kit under Subprogram 2023.
The kit for Subprogram 2023 of food items for one recipient includes food items totaling approx. 34 kg, including:
1. Vegetable and fruit products:
Peas with carrots 1.60 kg,
Tomato concentrate 0.96 kg,
Strawberry jam 1.20 kg,
2. Starchy products:
Egg noodles spiral 2.50 kg,
Wheat flour 4 kg,
Barley groats 1.50 kg,
Oat flakes 1 kg,
Butter cookies 0.60 kg,
Instant grain coffee 0.40 kg
3. Dairy products:
UHT milk 6 l,
Ripening cheese 1.20 kg,
4. Meat products:
Minced pork ham 1.20 kg,
Poultry ham 1.20 kg,
Pork pâté 0.48 kg,
Sprat in oil 0.68 kg,
5. Sugar:
White sugar 4.00 kg.
6. Fats:
Rapeseed oil 4 l,
7. Ready meals:
Baked beans in Breton style 1.5 kg.
Individuals qualified for Subprogram 2023 pick up food at the PCK Warehouse at Unii Lubelskiej 35 in Kołobrzeg on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 to 13:00. The expected start date for the distribution of food products is June 20, 2024.
Individuals receiving food participate in the implementation of accompanying measures.The activities conducted under accompanying measures aim to socially integrate the most needy individuals, including the following thematic areas:
Individual counseling
Psychological support, financial security, and household budget management, legal assistance, health prevention, etc.
Development of skills increasing the recipients’ independence, e.g., conflict resolution in the family, etc.
Integration activities promoting the engagement of final recipients within local communities (e.g., volunteering).
