This year's campaign "Great Power of Helping", organized by the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Regional Branch of the Polish Red Cross in Bydgoszcz, found its unique finale during the Easter Breakfast.
The event was attended by over 100 adults along with children – among them large families, people with disabilities, seniors, and individuals in homelessness crisis.
The ceremony began with brief speeches from invited guests.
The Chairman of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Regional Branch of the Polish Red Cross – Monika Przybylska said:
Ladies and gentlemen, I am honored that you accepted our invitation, that you have enriched today with your presence, because nothing in the world unites people more beautifully than a common table (...).
A big round of applause for all the volunteers of the Polish Red Cross – this is an important matter, this is the Great Power of Helping, and we know that together we can work wonders and such wonders will be happening soon.
The President of the Polish Red Cross – Zbigniew Klawczyński added:
Today we are meeting for an Easter breakfast, but this Great Power of Helping started a long time ago. Many groups of volunteers from the Polish Red Cross, members, and employees organized and prepared for this day. Food was collected, shopping was prepared, and thanks to this we can prepare many food parcels (...). We are here to help. And this Great Power of Helping – is happening right here before all your eyes.

At the end of the speeches, the Director of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Regional Branch of the Polish Red Cross, Danuta Szukalska, and a member of the KP OO PCK Board, Patryk Żółtek, extended warm wishes to all present on the occasion of the upcoming Easter.
After the official part, the volunteers began distributing traditional Easter dishes. On the tables appeared żurek with toppings, vegetable salad, eggs, bigos, and Easter cakes. The whole was accompanied by a warm, festive atmosphere and performances by children from Bydgoszcz schools: Primary School No. 16, School Complex No. 8, and the Family-Type Educational Institution. The children also received sweet gifts.

In addition to the joint Easter breakfast, we also provided additional support – each invited person received a food parcel so that they could also feel the atmosphere of Easter at home.
The Easter Breakfast was a summary of several weeks of activities carried out since mid-March. During this time, food baskets were set up in selected supermarkets, where donors provided food products. Schools also actively joined the collection, organizing actions in their area and engaging students and entire school communities to help those in need. Additionally, volunteers conducted collections of donations in charity boxes in supermarkets. A total of about 90 students from 12 primary and secondary schools participated in the activities.
Thanks to the tremendous generosity of the residents, it was possible to collect nearly 690 kg of food and 75 kg of pet food. From the collected donations, with the support of sponsors, 250 food parcels for families were prepared, about 130 parcels for children, and nearly 50 parcels for the pets of our charge.

Special thanks go to all donors, volunteers, schools, and partners of the campaign. Support from companies: Drobex Solec Kujawski, Sowa, Ocetix, and Tosta had a significant contribution to the success of the campaign. Thank you.
The campaign once again showed how much can be achieved through cooperation, involvement, and sensitivity to the needs of others. Thanks to the joint effort, help reached those who needed it most, and the holiday time became fuller and more joyful for many people.
