We invite all history enthusiasts to a unique walk through the streets of Warsaw organized by PCK on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising. During the walk, you will see places where the PCK headquarters were located during the war, where hospitals and sanitary points operated by the Red Cross after August 1, 1944, were situated, and finally where the insurgent barricades were set up. You will learn the extraordinary story of the youngest patient, as well as the biography of the heroic Countess Maria Tarnowska, then Vice-President of the organization, who led to the safe evacuation of the civilian population from insurgent Warsaw under the flags of the Red Cross. We will talk about humanitarian law and the Geneva conventions. At the end of the walk, we will meet with an insurgent.
