Have you ever wondered how much loneliness can affect our seniors? We often forget how important conversations, closeness, and a sense of belonging are for them. Cafe Senior PCK in Opole Lubelskie is not just a café – it is a space full of heart, empathy, and support, created with our older residents in mind.
Why Cafe Senior?
Our café was established by volunteers from the Polish Red Cross, who decided to respond to the needs of seniors. Older residents of the "Puławska" estate pointed out that they miss a place where they could enjoy coffee or tea and talk to another person. What is a daily routine for many is a barrier of loneliness for them that is hard to overcome.
A place for everyone
Cafe Senior is a place open to all, regardless of age, gender, or place of residence. We do not have bills here – anyone can bring a package of coffee, tea, or something sweet, thus supporting our activities. What sets us apart is warmth and the willingness to help. PCK volunteers, recognizable by their red vests, are always ready to assist, talk, and make everyone feel at home here.
Not just a café
Cafe Senior is also a place for meetings and development. We organize various workshops and thematic classes that allow seniors to develop their passions and interests. From handicrafts, through computer courses, to meetings with interesting people – everyone will find something for themselves.
How can you help?
Everyone can contribute to this beautiful project. You can support our initiative by bringing coffee, tea, or sweets, or by making a donation to the PCK account.
Cafe Senior PCK in Opole Lubelskie is proof that together we can do more – we can counteract loneliness and create a community in which everyone feels important and appreciated.
We invite you to join us and see how much joy collective action can bring!
