Sandomierski PCK educates seniors: summer training in first aid

During the meetings, participants have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the operation of the defibrillator – a device that can save lives in the event of sudden cardiac arrest. A detailed demonstration of how to use the defibrillator is conducted, the principles of properly placing electrodes are discussed, as well as the key principles of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

The training also includes presenting the map of the location of defibrillators (AED) in Sandomierz, which is extremely important, as quick access to an AED can be decisive in life-threatening situations. In addition, topics such as poisoning, heat stroke, and other dangers that seniors may be exposed to during the summer are addressed.

Thanks to such initiatives, older people gain confidence in crisis situations.
