We met the winners of the regional stage of the PCK Health Olympics with Biedronka

The Health Olympiad by the PCK with the Ladybug is a nationwide competition for those who know how to live healthily and actively. Participants in the Olympiad must demonstrate knowledge about healthy nutrition, preventing addictions, ecology, and the principles of first aid.

The Olympiad is held at the school, regional, district, and central stages. It is aimed at students from primary schools in grades 6, 7, and 8, as well as secondary school students. Its aim is to educate young people about the need to take care of their health and to develop the skills necessary for health protection.

At each stage of the Olympiad, participants solve a test regarding proper nutrition, first aid, ecology, and promoting a healthy lifestyle. The winners of the regional stage of the Olympiad must carry out a sports or health-promoting action. They present the results of the action at the district stage. The final of the Olympiad consists of solving a test and presenting information about their health-promoting action.

This year's theme for health-promoting actions for local communities is “Alternative ways of nutrition and sports in the lives of children and youth.”

On April 3, the district stage of the competition took place, with nearly 350 students from all over Poland participating. In our voivodeship, 16 contestants representing primary and secondary schools from the entire region participated in the district stage of the Olympiad.

Participants faced a test consisting of 50 questions. The test format is varied - students answer both single-choice and multiple-choice questions, as well as true-false questions. They have 50 minutes to complete the entire test.

The winner of the Health Olympiad by the PCK in the secondary schools category will receive an index for the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Medical University of Łódź or at the Opole University.
