District stage of the National First Aid Championships PCK

Nine youth teams, representing secondary schools from Bydgoszcz and the Bydgoszcz district, faced simulated accidents that realistically modeled situations any of us might encounter in everyday life.

Participants treated bleeding and burns and evacuated victims from dangerous places. Additionally, competitors had to assist victims who communicated in English and those who suffered seizures or fell from heights. All teams demonstrated impressive first aid skills.

It's a recurring event that gathers youth across Poland each year, whose passion is helping others. The championships are held in three stages: regional, district, and central.

Competitors face simulated accidents prepared by PCK First Aid Instructors, using professional materials and props. This allows competitors to compete in an environment that closely resembles a real accident.

The aim of the championships is to raise the level of knowledge among youth regarding first aid and to prevent accidents by promoting safety principles.

If you find a group of people in your school who would like to start an adventure with first aid, you should first ask the school administration for permission to participate in the competition and find a teacher who will help you prepare for the Championships. It's worth ensuring that you use the entire school year effectively to prepare for the competition. A first aid course in PCK, joint first aid practice, improving teamwork – all of this can prove invaluable during the competition.
