On the occasion of the celebrations of PCK Youth Day, we announce the promotional and educational campaign “EkoKreatywni – PCK Youth Creates a Sustainable World”.
Pro-ecological activities play an increasingly important role in societies around the world, and their significance is particularly felt by the youth, who will shape the future of the planet. The Youth of the Polish Red Cross (PCK Youth) engages in various pro-ecological initiatives, recognizing that caring for the natural environment is not only an obligation but also an expression of intergenerational solidarity and responsibility for the common good.
In the face of global challenges related to ongoing climate change, environmental pollution, and the depletion of natural resources, young people are becoming a voice for change – promoting actions for sustainable development, educating their peers, and supporting local communities in making ecological choices.
The engagement of PCK Youth in pro-ecological activities arises not only from the need to protect the environment but also from a deep awareness that ecology connects with many other aspects of life, such as health, social well-being, and equality. These actions allow young people to influence the future of their surroundings while developing a sense of responsibility and civic activity. Through their initiatives, PCK Youth strives to shape positive behavior patterns and inspires others to care for the planet.
As an integral part of the Polish Red Cross, PCK Youth plays a key role in the implementation of the PCK Strategy 2030, which largely relies on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations. These goals, covering 17 areas, aim to ensure social, economic, and environmental sustainability worldwide. In Poland, PCK Youth identifies these goals as a response to the challenges faced by modern society and sets itself the task of achieving them through volunteer, educational, and pro-social activities.
The implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by PCK Youth as part of the PCK Strategy 2030 is directly linked to the ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) concept, which is a key tool for responsible management in both business and social organizations. ESG encompasses three main areas: environmental protection (E), social issues (S), and governance (G).
PCK Youth not only carries out its mission for society and the planet but also acts in accordance with modern sustainable development standards that are increasingly demanded by partners, society, and institutions. This confirms that pro-ecological, social, and ethical actions are the foundation of organizational and youth responsibility in the 21st century.
We invite people aged 6-30 to participate in the promotional and educational campaign “EkoKreatywni – PCK Youth Creates a Sustainable World”.
From the submitted works, we will select 5 people from each age group who will receive a prize.
