OSP Kobyłka trains WOT and PCK

Our agreement is not only a collaboration for the development and promotion of voluntary blood donation, support, and assistance for Warsaw insurgents and veterans. It also includes training of this kind. It was conducted by firefighters from the Volunteer Fire Department in Kobyłka.

The training took place in connection with the implementation of the statutory goals of the Polish Red Cross, i.e. among others, actions for rescue and protection of people as well as preparation for action in crisis situations requiring assistance to victims of natural disasters or catastrophes and cooperation during armed conflicts, in accordance with the provisions of the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and the Additional Protocols of 1977. On February 23, 2025, another training in technical rescue was held at the Volunteer Fire Department in Kobyłka. Its participants, i.e. soldiers of the 18th Capital Defense Brigade and PCK members, during a six-hour training had the opportunity to become acquainted with the scope covering, among others: safety rules applicable during rescue operations, properties and characteristics of the equipment used during rescue operations, critical elements of passenger car construction, methods of stabilizing cars during ongoing rescue operations, rules for removing vehicle windows, and the order and methods of their disassembly, as well as intervention methods – gaining access to individuals trapped in vehicles.
