Polish Red Cross on the front line of assistance to the injured: how can you help?
We are actively participating in rescue operations in southern Poland, where the flood is devastating more and more towns.
PCK rescue groups not only support evacuation in disaster-affected areas but also provide essential resources, collaborating with local authorities, firefighters, and the military.
The Polish Red Cross works closely with local authorities, supporting residents not only logistically but also psychologically. Organized shelters, delivery of food and essential items, as well as rescue operations, are crucial for managing this crisis situation
In response to the immense needs of affected residents, PCK has launched a product collection, to provide immediate, efficient assistance to those who have lost their homes or have been cut off from basic resources.
As part of the collection, the following products are being collected:
Bottled water – essential for ensuring access to clean water, especially where local water supplies have been destroyed, cutting the local community off from drinking water;
Long shelf-life food – canned goods, crackers, rice, pasta, and other products that will be easy to store and distribute;
Hygiene products – soap, shampoo, toothpaste, diapers, and other personal hygiene items;
Cleaning supplies – detergents, disinfectants, protective gloves, which will help in cleaning up flooded areas and prevent the spread of diseases.
Where can products be donated?
We invite you to the PCK District Branches and the regional office at 25 Szańcowa Street in Warsaw.
The collected products will go directly to the affected, including residents of regions such as Kłodzko, Głuchołazy, Jelenia Góra, and other towns that suffered as a result of this disaster.
This assistance will be crucial both now, during the crisis, and in the coming days when residents will need support in rebuilding their lives.
– Water, long shelf-life food, and hygiene products are the most needed right now. Together, through financial support or participating in the material collection, we can provide these people with what is most important – safety, shelter, and hope.
