Paintings exhibition „Together to the shore in Łódź”

date
27 January 2024
category
From January 22, 2024, at the Urban Activity Center at Tuwima 10 in Łódź, an exhibition of paintings by Ukrainian and Belarusian beneficiaries of the Polish Red Cross can be viewed: Oleksandra Shapovalova, Oleh Silchenko, Tetiana Hotsuliak, Yulia Hlymiazenko, Viktoria Ihnatenko, Ksenia Khaletska, and Halyna Rabchevska.
The works presented at the exhibition were created as part of the project 'Together to the Shore in Łódź,' which was implemented at the Integration Center of the Polish Red Cross in Łódź since August 2023. The project aimed at social and cultural integration, educational experiences, enhancing language competencies, and exchanging cultural experiences. One of the activities through which we realized these goals was easel painting classes. It was led by Jolanta Królicka – a visual artist, theater scenographer, and instructor with many years of experience in nurturing and shaping artistic talents.

Several people participated in the classes at the Integration Center, but at the exhibition, we presented the works of seven of them, in whose case we could observe the most dynamic progress in interpreting perceived reality and the world or in proficiency in using painting techniques.
At the exhibition opening on January 26, artists, media, and invited guests appeared. The works presented generated great interest, and their creators eagerly answered numerous questions and gave interviews.
The exhibition can be viewed until February 5 during the working hours of the Urban Activity Office, Tuwima 10.
