Blood donation

On this occasion, on behalf of the Presidium of the Mazovian District Council of the Honorary Blood Donation of the Polish Red Cross in Warsaw, I wish all blood donors of Mazovia all the best, fulfillment of dreams, much joy, and especially a lot of health.

Let's share what we have most valuable with our neighbor "a drop of blood - a drop of life"

World Blood Donor Day this year falls in the Jubilee year of 90 years of blood donation in Poland.

Best wishes from
Mirosław Szymański
Chairman of the Council

From the pages of history

The holiday was established on June 14, 2004, by the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), the International Federation of Blood Donor Organizations, and the International Transfusion Society. This event is an opportunity to thank honorary blood donors for the life-saving gift and to raise awareness about the need for regular blood donations to ensure available, high-quality, and safe blood and blood products for patients in need of all ages.

"By donating blood - we give Faith and Hope - to everyone"
