First Aid Championships

A competition for high school students who compete in realistic accident scenarios. The event promotes knowledge of first aid and teaches effective action in crisis situations.

About the competition

Mistrzostwa Pierwszej Pomocy to ogólnopolski konkurs organizowany przez Polski Czerwony Krzyż, skierowany do uczniów szkół średnich. Co roku młodzież rywalizuje or tytuł Mistrza Pierwszej Pomocy, udzielając pomocy poszkodowanym w realisticznie zaaranżowanych sytuacjach wypadkowych.

Wydarzenie składa się z trzech etapów: rejonowego, okręgowego i centralnego, a w wielkim finale beers udział 16 najlepszych drużyn z całego kraju. Dzięki professional characteryzacji, sztucznej krwi i rekwizytom bankruptcy odzwierciedla prawdziwe zdarzenia, pozwalając młodzieży ćwiczyć w warunkach zbliżonych do rzeczywistych.

Need

Accidents and crises can happen at any moment. The ability to provide quick and effective first aid is crucial, as the average waiting time for emergency services is 8–15 minutes.

The championships respond to the need to increase knowledge about first aid and prepare young people to save health and lives in crisis situations. The competition raises awareness and promotes safety principles in society.

Championship Structure

The First Aid Championships consist of three stages:

  • Regional stage – local eliminations organized by the regional PCK branches.
  • District stage – competition at the provincial level, prepared by the district PCK branches.
  • Central stage – the grand final, where the 16 best teams from across Poland compete for the title of First Aid Champion.

The competition tasks are carried out at specially arranged stations that simulate realistic crisis situations. The scenarios are prepared using professional resources such as:

  • artificial blood, powders, and makeup
  • props and actors, which makes the situations look very credible

The competition takes place in urban spaces, allowing spectators to observe the competition, become familiar with difficult situations, and learn proper behaviors in case of an accident.

Program objectives

Raising the level of knowledge of youth about providing first aid.

Promoting safety principles and preventing accidents.

Developing collaboration skills and quick action in crisis situations.

Raising social awareness through the organization of competitions in public spaces.
