Two weeks of intensive learning and discussion, as well as current challenges in international humanitarian law - the XXVIII edition of the Polish School of International Humanitarian Law organized by the Polish Red Cross has come to an end.
From October 2 to 18, 36 participants of the School of International Humanitarian Law faced challenges related to the implementation of IHL, accountability for its violations, military applications of AI, protection of cultural heritage, conducting military maritime operations, means and methods of conducting armed conflicts, participating in lectures and thematic discussions, and playing a specially developed case for them.

The school was organized by the Polish Red Cross in cooperation with the Commission for the Promotion of International Humanitarian Law. Support was also provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, and the Warsaw delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
This year, the School of International Humanitarian Law of Armed Conflicts, organized by the Polish Red Cross, took place for the 28th time. It is primarily aimed at law, political science, international relations, and journalism students; lecturers and listeners of military schools, as well as officers and employees of non-governmental organizations working in the field of international humanitarian law. The classes will be led by experts and practitioners of international humanitarian law, as well as lecturers from renowned universities and military academies. Recent editions of the School of International Humanitarian Law of Armed Conflicts have been held in a hybrid form - as remote lectures and stationary meetings.
