September is not only a time for returning from vacation, meetings with long-lost friends and teachers. With the beginning of the new school year, the next, this time already 12th edition of the educational program "Share a Smile" also traditionally begins.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 700,000 people worldwide take their own lives each year. That means that every 40 seconds, someone commits suicide.

The International Day of Remembrance for Missing Persons, observed every year on August 30, is a good time to draw attention to one of the most painful problems of the modern world: the problem of people who go missing in armed conflicts, natural disasters, migration and in other circumstances.

The Polish Red Cross (PCK) is once again organizing the “Wyprawka dla Żaka” campaign, the aim of which is to support children and young people from families in a difficult financial situation. This year's edition of the campaign, carried out with the help of partners Amazon and Auchan, aims to provide students with the necessary school supplies so that they can happily start the new school year.
