The 34th edition of the PCK Health Olympics with Biedronka has begun - a nationwide competition for primary and secondary school students. This year, young people will not only test their knowledge about health and a healthy lifestyle but will also look at how to consciously choose food products and make daily dietary decisions.

Registration of schools for this year's edition will last from October 12 to 26, 2026. Subsequently, students will take part in the next stages of the Olympics. The school stage will take place online from November 2 to 13, the regional or district stage is scheduled for January 14, 2027, and the district stage on April 22. The best participants from all over Poland will meet during the final, which will take place from June 4 to 6, 2027.

The Olympics combines knowledge testing with practical action. Participants prepare their own health promotion activities, which allow them to pass on the knowledge they have gained to their peers, families, and local communities. The scale of the event is demonstrated by the previous edition, in which 23,467 students from 1,478 primary and secondary schools from all over Poland participated. 32 participants qualified for the national final.

The main theme of the health promotion activities of the 34th edition will be “Taste under Control - Conscious Choice Every Day.” Participants will discover how the composition of products and information on labels help make informed decisions and how taste, daily habits, advertisements, and media influence dietary choices.

An important element will also be encouraging young people to prepare meals independently, learn about products, and create their own dishes. Culinary workshops are planned during the final in Łódź, which will allow participants to apply the knowledge they have gained in practice.

The PCK Health Olympics has been promoting a healthy lifestyle for years and shows young people that knowledge about health can translate into concrete actions. In the previous edition, thanks to the Olympics, the ideas of a healthy lifestyle and ecology were promoted in 1,478 schools and local communities throughout Poland. The organizer of the Olympics is the Polish Red Cross, and the strategic partner of the event is Biedronka.
