The Polish Red Cross participated in the XIII National Conference of Local Government and Education "Education of the Future." The event gathered 530 school directors and representatives of local governments from all over Poland, becoming an important space for discussing the directions of educational development and the challenges facing local governments.

The Polish Red Cross was the official partner of the conference. The stand presenting the offer of courses, training, and educational programs was prepared by the Lublin District Branch of the Polish Red Cross. It was an opportunity for direct conversations with participants, sharing experiences, and presenting practical solutions supporting safety and health in the school environment.

The Polish Red Cross also played a role as a substantive partner of the panel titled "Psychological Safety. School as a Space for Support." Among the speakers was Agata Gajos, a member of the Main Board of the Polish Red Cross.

The discussion focused on preventing mental crises among students and teachers and the importance of early intervention. The need to build relationships based on trust was emphasized, as well as the role of the Polish Red Cross as an entity supporting schools in developing a culture of empathy and dialogue within the school community.

An important point of the program was also the panel "School in the Civil Protection and Civil Defence System," particularly important from the perspective of the role of the Polish Red Cross in the civil protection and civil defence system. Attention was drawn to the necessity of close cooperation between schools and institutions responsible for safety and civil protection entities. The discussion also covered issues of updating procedures, training for staff, and educating students about crisis response and proper communication.

The conference was an opportunity for inspiring meetings with local government leaders, practitioners, and experts. Particular attention was drawn to the thematic area "Safe School," which comprehensively addressed security issues, from civil protection and crisis procedures to cooperation with services and designing safe school infrastructure. Important issues concerning well-being and mental health, including crisis prevention and the organization of professional support, also played a significant role.

The conference took place on March 18-19 in Lublin. Its organizer was Municipium SA.
