The Polish Red Cross Łódź District is looking for individuals willing to take up a position as: Coordinator of care services at the Polish Red Cross office in Łódź.
Key responsibilities:
organizing care services at the beneficiary's residence;
direct and indirect supervision over the proper execution of services by employed staff;
integrating employees into new environments;
organizing or participating in organizing various forms of social assistance (service, material, intervention, providing advice) for people in need of assistance,
with particular emphasis on elderly, sick, and dependent individuals staying at home;creating monthly work schedules for employees;
accounting for the execution of care services by employees;
cooperation with a social worker from MOPS and other institutions providing assistance to elderly and disabled persons;
improving the quality of services provided.
Expectations for the candidate:
medical education (medical caregiver, nurse, paramedic, etc.) or social (social worker, psychologist, social educator, etc.);
knowledge of issues related to social assistance, particularly concerning activities for the elderly and disabled;
ability to work in a team;
highly developed communication skills, a focus on finding solutions, searching for resources;
ability to effectively organize work;
independence, creativity, responsibility;
ability to operate computer programs (MS Office package - Word, Excel, Internet).
An additional asset will be:
knowledge of issues related to the activities of the Polish Red Cross,
knowledge of legal regulations regarding the functioning of non-governmental organizations and the structures and principles of the social assistance system in Poland,
experience in work in a profession with a medical focus (medical caregiver, nurse, paramedic, etc.) or social (social worker, psychologist, social educator, etc.) or volunteering in a non-governmental organization or in the broadly understood field of social assistance.
