The 23rd edition of the nationwide campaign "Gold Fever PCK" is starting. Traditionally, containers will appear in schools, kindergartens, and companies, into which "gold" coins with denominations of 1, 2, 5 groszy can be thrown. The funds collected in this way will help finance summer recreation, the purchase of school supplies, and educational aids for needy children.

"Gold Fever PCK" is one of the annual campaigns of the Polish Red Cross, aimed at supporting the most needy children. Since its inception, over 3 million zlotys have been collected.

Teaching subsequent generations the selfless act of helping is one of the key activities of our Association. Every year in hundreds of schools, kindergartens, as well as in companies and institutions, there are crowds of "fevered" people who get involved in the coin collection campaign. We are glad that thanks to their support, we help those most in need. – says Michał Mikołajczyk, a member of the Management Board of the Polish Red Cross, the initiator of the "Gold Fever PCK" campaign.

"Gold Fever PCK"
involves the collection of "gold" coins of 1, 2, and 5 grosz denominations. As part of the campaign, collections are conducted in shops, schools, kindergartens, and companies. Thanks to the involvement of donors from all over Poland, small coins turn into "tons of gold" that help the youngest, prevent social exclusion, and create a chance for a better start in adulthood. The funds collected during the campaign are allocated to help children, including: summer recreation, warm meals in schools, school supplies, and educational aids.

The "Gold Fever PCK" campaign also has an educational dimension. Through this campaign, PCK promotes the idea of volunteering – selfless help to others. Most volunteers in "Gold Fever" are students helping their peers. It is precisely the educational aspect – showing how a small gesture of collecting a handful of "gold coins" has special value. The campaign meets with great interest from schools and kindergartens every year.

We encourage everyone, big and small. Do you already know where in your school, kindergarten, shop, office, restaurant, a container for gold will appear? Join the ranks of the "fevered". Together, let's change the fate of needy children. Let's help together.
– adds Michał Mikołajczyk.

The "Gold Fever PCK" campaign lasts until May 24, 2024.
