Armed conflict in Ukraine
General information
Since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, which began on February 24, 2022, the Polish Red Cross has been involved in helping refugees and victims in war-torn areas. Polish Red Cross rescuers organized reception points on the border, delivering food, water, blankets and clothing, as well as providing medical assistance.
Thanks to cooperation with international partners, aid reached both refugees in Poland and people in Ukraine, including in places such as Bucha. The Polish Red Cross carries out a wide range of activities: humanitarian transports, psychological support and integration programs, being a symbol of solidarity and effective support.
