Last weekend, rescuers from the PCK Rescue Group from Sandomierz, Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, Przemyśl, and Kielce, as well as officers from the Świętokrzyskie Police and volunteers from the OSP units, participated in specialized training in the planning of searches for missing persons. The classes were led by Marcin Kowalski from the PCK Medical Rescue Group in Wrocław.

The training started on Friday afternoon with a theoretical part. Participants learned the principles of organization, tactics, and phases of the search operation, familiarized themselves with techniques and methods of searching from the perspective of a planner, and learned about the IT tools that support the conduct of such activities.

On Sunday, it was time for practical exercises, which took place in the forests of the Suchedniów Forest District. Participants, in field conditions, carried out tasks requiring intergroup cooperation. The exercises included navigation, searches in difficult terrain, and cooperation with OSP units from Suchedniów, Ociesęk, Brody, and Mominy.

The training was made possible thanks to funding from the project "Strengthening and increasing the effectiveness of search activities in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship..." as part of the "Szychta" program, implemented by the "Kaganek" Foundation of the Świętokrzyska Industrial Group Industria S.A.

Special thanks also go to the Suchedniów Forest District and the State Forests for providing the area and place for exercises and integration around the campfire.
