On January 20, the Polish Red Cross signed an agreement with the National Support Center for Agriculture (KOWR) for the implementation of the European Funds for Food Aid Program (FEPŻ) – Subprogram 2025.

5 million food packages

The Polish Red Cross will continue its efforts for individuals and families in difficult life situations, providing support in the form of food aid and accompanying activities such as education and psychological support - this is possible thanks to cooperation with the National Support Center for Agriculture. It has been ongoing for over 20 years and during this time has enabled the delivery of essential food assistance to over 1 million people, in the form of over 5 million food packages.

– The Polish Red Cross has been a partner for over 20 years in the food aid program. During this time, we have managed to help over one million people. These have also been individuals affected by natural disasters. The most recent such example was the flood in 2024, when we, as the Polish Red Cross, were able to distribute food aid funded by European funds to flood-affected areas

– emphasized Katarzyna Mikołajczyk, the General Director of the Polish Red Cross.

The commitment of hundreds of people

These efforts would not be possible without the work and dedication of employees and volunteers from the PCK branches in the voivodeships: Lublin, Lubusz, Lower Silesia, Lodz, Mazovia, Podkarpacie, Silesia, and West Pomerania. Huge thanks for what you do every day.

We thank KOWR and the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy for their trust and joint efforts to bring assistance to where it is most needed. Cooperation with the Ministry and KOWR is the foundation for effective aid for the PCK, as well as an inspiration for undertaking further social initiatives for people in difficult life situations.
