During the Future Up! Fest 2026 in Łódź, Dr. Magdalena Stefańska, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Polish Red Cross, participated in the panel "Humanitarian missions, their strength, their pressure." The discussion focused on the realities of humanitarian work, crisis response, and the competencies needed to provide assistance in different parts of the world.
Future Up! Fest is an educational initiative aimed mainly at youth, combining themes of new technologies, personal development, and social responsibility. The event's program included workshops, discussion panels, meetings with experts, and interactive zones for new technologies.

In the panel "Humanitarian missions, their strength, their pressure" Dr. Magdalena Stefańska spoke about the challenges of humanitarian work in various regions of the world and the role of international cooperation in responding to crises and supporting those affected by conflicts and disasters.
What competencies are needed in humanitarian missions?
Participants of the meeting were able to learn how humanitarian actions look in practice and what skills are needed to engage in aid missions – from specialized knowledge to soft skills, such as the ability to collaborate and resilience to work in demanding conditions.
