National celebrations of the Polish Blood Donation Day 2025

The Honorary Blood Donation Days organized by the PCK once again demonstrated the extraordinary community formed by honorary blood donors. In many cities, galas and meetings were held, during which individuals who have been donating blood for many years and institutions supporting the development of blood donation were recognized. It is thanks to their selflessness that it is possible to save the lives of thousands of patients each year.

The Honorary Blood Donation Days united blood donors from all over the country. From Kołobrzeg, through Olsztyn, Białystok, Lublin, and Zielona Góra to Opole, Bytom, and Jasło - dozens of ceremonies and touching meetings of goodwill people took place. This year's celebrations had a special significance due to the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the first transfusion facility in Poland.

Kielce

At the Regional Blood Donation and Blood Treatment Center in Kielce, individuals who donated over 20 liters of blood were honored. The badges "Honorary Blood Donor – Meritorious for the Health of the Nation" were awarded, and the campaign "Blood as a Gift of Life 2025" was summarized. The event was attended by representatives of local authorities, uniformed services, universities, companies, and presidents of local Honorary Blood Donor Clubs.

Kalisz

The Honorary Blood Donation Gala combined with the 90th anniversary of blood donation in Poland took place in the WP-A UAM auditorium in Kalisz. Among other things, awards for "Meritorious for the Health of the Nation," Honorary Badges of the PCK, titles of Meritorious Honorary Blood Donor (I–III degrees), and distinctions in the tournament "Young Blood Saves Lives" were awarded.

Puławy

The District Board of the PCK in Puławy honored nearly 80 Honorary Blood Donors. The gala took place under the patronage of the Puławy Starost, with support from local companies and institutions promoting voluntary blood donation.

Poznań

A jubilee ceremony organized by the Greater Poland Regional PCK Branch along with the Regional Centers for Blood Donation and Blood Treatment in Poznań and Kalisz took place at the Greater Poland Voivodeship Office. The awards "Honorary Blood Donor – Meritorious for the Health of the Nation," Honorary Badges of the PCK, and distinctions "Crystal Heart" were presented. Additionally, donors who donated over 90 liters of blood and a multi-generational family of blood donors were honored. A special moment was the awarding of the Honorary Member of the PCK title to Mr. Bernard Komisarek for 53 years of service in the PCK.

Similar solemn events took place, among others, in Lublin, Opole, Olsztyn, Jasło, and Jastrzębie-Zdrój. In each of these places, blood donors received expressions of gratitude, awards, and thanks for many years of blood donation and supporting the HDK movement.
