The aim of the program is to encourage professional and volunteer firefighters to donate blood honorably.
As part of the program, the units of the State Fire Service (PSP) and Volunteer Fire Service (OSP) organize blood collection in local communities, where the amount of blood donated during the collection is counted. In this way, professional and volunteer firefighters contribute to promoting the idea of honorary blood donation and indirectly saving the health and lives of others.
Additionally, thanks to the involvement of firefighters, new clubs of Honorary Blood Donors PCK (HDK PCK) are being established, and existing ones are increasing their number of members.
The program 'Fiery Rescuer – Hot Blood' includes 3 categories: the most active PSP unit, the most active OSP unit, and 'Fiery Rescuer' – the most active organizer of the action in a given unit.
