The third edition of the SIM PCK mini-grants program "Together for the Future - Projects Changing the World" has ended. Youth from all over Poland implemented local initiatives based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals - from ecological education to climate action and integration.

In their projects, the SIM PCK groups referred to goals concerning, among others, responsible use of natural resources, protection of terrestrial ecosystems, rational water management, reducing food waste, promoting clean energy, and countering climate change.

The selected SDGs - including goals 2, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 15 - provided a thematic framework for the youth's activities, highlighting their commitment to building more sustainable and resilient communities, and the mini-grants program allows for real, practical action in this area.

13 groups and 61 partnerships

The SIM PCK groups could apply for funding under three funding pools. The program aimed to build local coalitions and engage various institutions - from schools and social organizations to local government and environmental entities. As part of the implemented actions, 13 SIM PCK groups established 61 partnerships with educational, public, social, and environmental institutions.Among the partners were educational institutions, public and local government entities, non-governmental organizations, and PCK units as substantive partners.

As a result, the projects gained a wider reach, access to specialized knowledge, and the possibility of creating lasting solutions that will remain in local communities for a longer time.

Integration and inclusion of people of Ukrainian origin

In the third edition, special emphasis was placed on including people of Ukrainian origin in the activities - both as beneficiaries and co-implementers of projects. As a result, the SIM PCK initiatives became a space for integration, intercultural cooperation, and strengthening local communities.
