Polish-Ukrainian Wigilia

The meeting was attended by 130 people, refugees from Ukraine, needy individuals designated by OPS units, seniors, large families, people with special needs, and people with disabilities.

The holiday meeting was inaugurated by the President of the Masovian Branch of the Polish Red Cross, Michał Mikołajczyk, who wished everyone present health, joy, and peace for the upcoming Christmas, and all the best in the coming New Year. Our guests shared the Christmas wafer, exchanged wishes, and enjoyed Christmas dishes while listening to Polish and Ukrainian carols sung by an artist from Ukraine.

The director of our Polish Red Cross branch, Honorata Krzywoń, on behalf of herself and the employees and volunteers of the Mazovian PCK center, extended heartfelt thanks to all those present for attending this Christmas meeting, and wished everyone a family and peaceful Christmas. The director invited the youngest to join in singing carols. The children grabbed the microphones and, with the support of our singing artist, gave a wonderful, spontaneous concert.

Yesterday's event was one of the most touching meetings with the beneficiaries of the Masovian Polish Red Cross. We are happy that we can give them a bit of our heart, joy, and kind words. And ahead of us is another year and a continuous desire to help those in need.
