May Easter be joyful for everyone
Great Power of Helping is a charity campaign organized by the Polish Red Cross, the aim of which is to support the poorest, especially during Easter.
As part of the campaign, we conduct collections of food, cleaning products and funds in stores and educational institutions, as well as organize Easter breakfasts for people in need. Thanks to the involvement of volunteers, donors and partners, packages with essential items are delivered to families who especially need our help during this exceptional period.
2.5 million Poles live in extreme poverty
2.5 million Poles live in extreme poverty, struggling with daily challenges such as lack of food, hygiene products, or the means to celebrate holidays with dignity. Many families cannot afford basic food products, let alone a traditional Easter breakfast. Children from such families often lack access to sweets or small gifts, which are the standard in households with better financial situations.
The Great Power of Helping initiative responds to this need, providing material assistance and creating an atmosphere of community and warmth during difficult times. In 2024, as part of the initiative, we prepared 5,000 packages and organized 40 Easter breakfasts.

How do we help?
Food and Fundraising Drives
We organize collections in grocery stores, educational institutions, and online to obtain food products, hygiene supplies, and funds for packages.
Preparation of Christmas packages
We assemble the collected products into packages that are delivered to the poorest families and individuals.
Easter breakfasts
In many locations, we organize holiday gatherings that allow those in need to celebrate Easter together.
Local actions
The regional branches of the Polish Red Cross organize additional initiatives, such as workshops or meetings with volunteers.

A Worthy Holiday
The Worthy Holidays campaign is an initiative that has been bringing joy, support and hope to the lives of those in need during Christmas for over 20 years. Its aim is to provide the poor, lonely, sick and socially excluded with the opportunity to experience the holidays in a dignified and warm way, including by organising food parcels and holiday meetings.
School supplies for a kid
A campaign that supports children from poor families in Poland, helping them prepare for the new school year. Thanks to the involvement of our partners and local communities, we provide students with the necessary school supplies, giving them a chance for a better start and the opportunity to fully participate in education.
