Evacuation backpack KATAKIT®
The KATAKIT® is a backpack developed by Red Cross specialists. It contains equipment that will last for 72 hours in the event of an evacuation. It is available in single-person and family-sized versions for four people.
Who needs an evacuation backpack?
An evacuation backpack should be prepared in every household in case of a situation where one needs to quickly leave their place of residence, e.g., during a fire, flood, or other threats. The backpack does not mean that we expect a disaster. It is an element of preparedness for a crisis situation, just like a first aid kit or a fire extinguisher.
An evacuation backpack can be prepared independently or one can choose a ready-made solution developed by rescue and civil protection specialists. KATAKIT® from the Polish Red Cross, with the addition of a few personal items, constitutes a complete set for crisis situations.
